Among 218 productions viewed, the jury (Joanna Lesnierowska, curator & visual dramaturg, Grisons; Laurence Perez, curator, Marseille/Lausanne/Zürich; Simone Truong, choreographer, Zürich; Laurence Wagner, curator & director Festival Belluard Bollwerk, Fribourg; Emanuel Rosenberg, choreographer & festival director, Ticino) has chosen 15 pieces reflecting the current diversity of contemporary Swiss creativity in dance: Élie Autin / Cie Les Bacchantes, Alexandra Bachzetsis, Maud Blandel / ILKA, Géraldine Chollet / Cie Rahu LaMo, The Field / Rafał Pierzyński, Isabel Lewis, Delgado Fuchs, Mélissa Guex, Trajal Harrell with Schauspielhaus Zürich Dance Ensemble, ZOO / Thomas Hauert, Jeremy Nedd & Impilo Mapantsula, Pierre Piton, Alessandro Schiattarella, Cindy Van Acker, Teresa Vittucci, Annina Machaz & Theater HORA, Rebecca Weingartner.
For the first time at the Swiss Dance Days, the audience will be able to see works created after the pandemic – this global, cross-generational experience. What is the world after Covid? What do we do to heal? What are the ways out? These questions are present in the selected pieces, which also shows diversity of age, gender, bodies and abilities.
