This summer Akram Khan is collaborating with Gauthier Dance//Dance Company Theaterhaus Stuttgart for the first time to create a new piece, Turning of Bones. The starting point for his new full-evening work are excerpts from four productions he created for Akram Khan Company that have become classics. The excerpts are linked together in Turning of Bones by the original music score composed by Aditya Prakash.

The rehearsal schedule has culminated in a two-weeks residency in Italy at the wonderful Orsolina28 Art Foundation in Moncalvo that Danza&Danza had the privilege to attend, right ahead of the world premiere sets in a few days in Stuttgart at the Colours International Dance Festival (26,27,28,29 June 2025).

Turning of Bones will be again in Italy guest at Visavì Festival, Gorizia, in October 2025 (Italian premiere).
