AMSTERDAM Being the most important platform for dance film in the Netherlands since 2003, Cinedans FEST 2026 is taking place in Amsterdam from March 26 to 29, bringing together 110 films from 53 countries.
This 22nd edition will also continue online from March 26th to April 5th with Cinedans WEB offering a wide selection of films from cinema program, along with exclusive online content accessible worldwide on cinedans.nl. 
Cinedans WEB ‘26 focuses on a generation of artists who do not shy away from today's reality. Their films engage with struggle and resilience, feminism and queer identity, ecological urgency and colonial legacies, while leaving space for poetry.

The line-up features exclusive programs such as the Online Diamonds Shorts and Online Diamonds Short Docs, the documentaries Omega Wants to Dance and Last Dance at the Sundance Stampede, and a selection of films from our cinema specials Breaking the Chains #2, FOCUS: India and XXXplicit Dance vol.2. Our specials showcase films and dance from different parts of the world, reflecting on both contemporary and historical themes.

The online festival also showcases films available in cinema programs. A sharp selection of the best dance films from the last two years in the International Shorts and Short Docs Competition programs; the latest home-grown dance films in two exciting New Dutch programs; and a selection of stage-to-film adaptations foregrounding the power of collective movement in Unisons of Life.
With the online pass, viewers can enjoy the program wherever and whenever they want – and as much as they want.
