Until July 30th, people worldwide can watch on Vimeo Echoes of Life: Tokyo Edition – the cinematic version of the piece of the same name with Silvia Azzoni and Alexandre Ryabko, stars of Hamburg Ballet.
The piece was presented and filmed in Tokyo on 25 May, following a European tour that took in Italy, Germany and Poland.
Echoes of Life is a story ballet telling 4 different stories of love through the choreographies by Thiago Bordin, Kristina Paulin and Marc Jubete to 15 renowned piano pieces including Debussy, Glass, Rachmaninoff, Shubert, Tcherepnin, Ravel, and Bach played by Michal Bilak.
“It’s about stories of love between lovers, mother and son, twins, and spirit to be re-united even after leaving this world” Azzoni says. “Everyone can mirror themselves as It’s the situations in a life everyone experiences.”
Haruo Niyama, soloist with The Tokyo Ballet, joined to dance a trio with Azzoni and Ryabko as well as danced his two solos which are all choreographed and world-premiered for this performance. 
This film production is directed by a Japanese emerging talent, Yoshitomo Okuda. Trained as a classical ballet dancer, he captured the dramas from the very best angle of each moment. Intimacy was the key concept in EOL, enabling audiences all over the world to have the experience from some selected exclusive view.
