Opening of the call for applications for the FEDORA Prizes Biennale 2027
02/06/2026
Emerging artists, opera houses, dance companies, festivals and cultural organisations from across Europe are invited to submit innovative projects in the fields of opera and dance.
The FEDORA Prizes Biennale supports the development of artistic productions and initiatives that contribute to the evolution of the performing arts sector through creativity, collaboration and innovation:
-
FEDORA – VAN CLEEF & ARPELS Dance Prize (€100,000) - awarding new dance productions that reimagine the art of dance for the 21st century by supporting new experimental dance creations created by promising teams of emerging artists with the ambition to reach international audiences.
-
FEDORA Education Prize (€50,000) - awarding innovative and educational projects that expand access to opera and dance, encourage the involvement of new and wider audiences, particularly local communities and underprivileged groups, and foster social integration, social-emotional learning, mutual understanding, and respect in today’s society.
-
FEDORA - KEARNEY Digital Prize (€50,000) - awarding projects that explore new forms of artistic expression and access to opera and dance through digital innovation, advocate novel ways of interacting with audiences across media using digital tools and performance, and foster interdisciplinary dialogue by triggering new collaborative approaches.
Initiated by Jérôme-François Zieseniss, the FEDORA Prizes Biennale aims to encourage emerging artistic talent and support projects that reflect the diversity, creativity and innovation of the European performing arts landscape, since its first edition in 2015.
The Prizes promote projects that foster international collaboration, intercultural dialogue, social inclusion and digital innovation, while strengthening connections between artists, cultural institutions and audiences across Europe.
Since 2017, we have been supported by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union, reinforcing our role as a European platform dedicated to supporting innovation in opera and dance.
